CareOregon Gives $75,000 To Support Opening of LGBTQ+ Health Center

With this health center, CAP will remove barriers, improve access, and most importantly provide quality health care for all LGBTQ+ patients in the Portland metro region.”
City of Portland Awards CAP $100,000 To Support LGBTQ+ Health Center
Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $100,000 from the City of Portland to support the opening of an LGBTQ+ focused primary care health center. The grant was awarded through the City Special Appropriation Fund and unanimously approved by City Council on September 28, 2016.
CAP and Bradley Angle Receive Grant To Help HIV-Positive Domestic Violence Survivors
Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) and Bradley Angle are pleased to announce the receipt of grant funding in the amount of $713,134. The grant will support the “Katie Project”, a program designed to help HIV-positive domestic violence survivors in the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area connect with the housing and supportive services they need to live healthy and safe lives.
Bill Dickey Donates $50,000 To Support LGBTQ Clinic!
CAP was thrilled to announce at its 28th Annual Art Auction that Bill Dickey owner of Morel Ink and long-time CAP supporter will donate $50,000 in support of CAP’s recently unveiled lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) primary medical care clinic.
Cascade AIDS Project Awarded $25,000 From Yahoo!
For the second year in a row, Cascade AIDS Project(CAP) has been awarded significant support from the Yahoo Employee Foundation. This year’s grant $25,000 supports two important programs, Positive Force Northwest and Camp KC, which aim to help families living with HIV replace isolation with self-efficacy, confidence, and promote wellbeing through community building.
CAP Receives Significant Cut In Federal Funding
Cascade AIDS Project (“CAP”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $1,750,000 over the next five years to deliver HIV prevention strategies to those at high risk for contracting HIV in our communities by the Center for Disease Control (“CDC”). While CAP is gratified to receive the award, it represents a significant cut ($500,000) as compared to our previous award.
