A Word from CAP on the National Election Results
Dear Friends,
Following the results of the election, we know that many in our community are feeling a mix of uncertainty, disappointment, and fear about what the future holds. This outcome may feel particularly disheartening given the work of CAP, Our House, & Prism Health with some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Our commitment to our mission and the people we serve is stronger than ever.
We understand that the road ahead brings new barriers and challenges for those living with HIV & AIDS, the 2SLGBTQ+ community, BIPOC communities, female and nonbinary identifying people, and people who rely on harm reduction and supportive services, among many others.
Our dedication to compassionate, inclusive, and affirming care for all will persist. Just as it has for more than 40 years.
Together, we will continue our efforts alongside our partners and supporters, advocating for a more just and equitable future. Our role is as critical as ever, and our collective strength as a community will guide us forward.
We have weathered difficult times before, and together, we will navigate this one.
Together,
Paul Lumley, CAP CEO
