It is in times of uncertainty that the power of community shines. Recent federal executive orders and disruptions have introduced new challenges for our organization. We want to assure you that CAP is taking proactive steps to withstand these targeted attacks on the compassionate care we provide, and intend to do everything in our power to continue serving the community. 

Following the results of the election, we know that many in our community are feeling a mix of uncertainty, disappointment, and fear about what the future holds. This outcome may feel particularly disheartening given the work of CAP, Our House, & Prism Health with some of the most vulnerable members of our community. 

Thousands gathered at Tom McCall Waterfront Park on September 28th to Stick It To Stigma in support of all those living with and affected by HIV & AIDS at the 2024 AIDS Walk Northwest!

Thanks to a generous $300,000 grant from KeyBank, we will be launching our new Healthcare Equity Advocate Program, a pivotal initiative designed to tackle disparities in healthcare access and outcomes for marginalized communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Our new clinic, Prism Health | Morris, celebrated its grand opening ceremony on June 29th, 2024! The new clinic at 15 N Morris St. in Portland, OR will further expand access to our inclusive, affirming, high-quality health care.

As a health-focused organization, we believe that our community's well-being depends not only on our physical and mental health, but also our "civic health": the ability to influence the policies that affect our health and healthcare. That's why CAP is urging all eligible voters to make sure they're registered to vote and cast their ballots in the November 8 election!
