Throughout our history, we have had to adapt to changing circumstances and challenging funding and political environments. While we have seen significant medical advancements in prevention, care and treatment, the battle against HIV/AIDS and the social determinants that continue to fuel the epidemic are far from overcome. Cascade AIDS Project has meaningfully responded to these rapidly changing conditions over the years with intentionality, evolving our scope of programs and services to meet community need. One significant change in recent history was a broadening of the organization’s mission to include providing compassionate healthcare to the LGBTQ+ community and beyond with the addition of Prism Health. CAP has also seen vast growth, with a current budget of over $30 million and more than 200 employees across four locations in two states. But one thing that has not changed over the years is that CAP would not be able to provide service without the incredible community support that has fueled the organization since its inception.
