CAP SW Washington Launches Partnership with RAINS
CAP is excited to announce the start of a brand new program in SW Washington in partnership with the Rainbow Advocacy and Inclusion Network (RAINS). With support from the Gamma Mu Foundation, CAP and RAINS will work together to provide peer-based social support for LGBTQ+ folks in and around Longview, WA.
CAP SW WA STD Clinic Re-Opens
As of Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, CAP SW WA’s STD Clinic is re-open to the public after a 15 month hiatus. Cascade AIDS Project had been providing low-barrier full panel HIV/STI testing and treatment to the LGBTQ+ community in Vancouver for nearly a decade when COVID-19 hit.
CAP To Expand HIV Services In Washington State
Under this contract award, CAP will provide both case management and care support services for persons living with HIV and prevention services including access to HIV testing, condoms, and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for persons at high risk for HIV. These efforts and services align with the National HIV/AIDS Strategy and the End AIDS Washington Initiative’s primary goal to reduce new HIV infections in Washington State by 50% by 2020.
