Vibrant Episode 4 - HIV Longterm Survivors Day with Jim Clay
On episode 4 of Vibrant, we are honoring HIV Long Term Survivors Day. As we reflect back on the past 4 decades of the HIV epidemic, we want to honor and remember not only those lost to us, but also uplift those who continue to live and thrive in the face of HIV. Joining us today is our Aging Well Program team lead, Jim Clay, to help us do just that!
National HIV + AIDS & Aging Awareness Day
Each September 18th, CAP observes National HIV/AIDS & Aging Awareness Day. This day brings attention to the growing number of people living long and full lives with HIV and to their health and social needs. (#HIVandAging) With many scientific advances and therapeutic options, most people living with HIV who are on effective treatments can expect to live to more than 70 years of age.
National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day 2020
September 18 is National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day—a day to call attention to the growing number of people living long and full lives with HIV, and to the aging-related challenges of HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care. It also seems like a great time to share with you CAP’s efforts to support the wellbeing of aging adults living with or affected by HIV, and initiatives being undertaken in our larger community.
Gilead Sciences Approves Funds to Expand CAP’s Aging Well Program
Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) is very pleased to announce a partnership with Gilead Sciences, Inc. for the 2018-2021 Aging Well Program. Gilead is funding the three-year $375,000 program that focuses on supporting the wellbeing of aging adults living with and affected by HIV.
Cascade AIDS Project Awarded $50,000 To Start HIV & Aging Program
Cascade AIDS Project (“CAP”) is proud to announce that it has been awarded $50,000 from Gilead Sciences, Inc. to create a program to work with individuals aged 50 years and over who are are living with HIV.
