We Are Excited to Unveil Our New Website!

Portland, OR | February 5, 2020 - Next time you visit us on the web, you might notice that things have changed up a bit! Starting February 5, CAP will be launching our brand new website to our community!

The main goals we hope to address with this redesign are

Streamline + Clarify

We received feedback that our site was difficult to navigate and cumbersome to find information. To address this, we worked to put the most important information at the forefront of your user experience. This includes:

  • An updated and redesigned navigation.

  • A scrolling banner with important information about events and programming.

  • A list of Services right on the homepage to quickly get you to your desired information.

  • Latest News and Upcoming Events to keep you up to date with what's going on at CAP.

  • Anchor Links on various pages throughout the site to help you jump to the information you are interested in.

Improve Experience

Another common issue with sites is that they age overtime. Certain plugins become outdated, mobile responsiveness isn't as responsive, and user friendliness becomes less friendly. In an effort to improve your overall experience we made the following changes:

  • Mobile Responsive Design that takes advantage of your devices.

  • Easy to access links for phone and addresses that work with your devices.

  • Contact Links to quickly get you in touch with us.

  • Easy to use, view, and search News pages.

  • A visual Calendar to help you stay up to date on our events, as well as relevant events on service pages.

  • A variety of new pages, including various resources about HIV, Stigma, and Prevention.

Upgrade + Update

Lastly, we wanted to help our site help you more. Making the site more efficient in getting your questions and concerns to us makes it easier to tackle problems quickly. We did this by:

  • Reviewing and Updating content.

  • Creating a design that was more uniform and cohesive across the site.

  • Making the site accessible in English and Spanish* (this feature is still under development and should be complete later this year)

  • Integrations for Facebook Messenger and Apple Business Chat on our contact page so you can shoot us a message anytime you have a question.

With this new website rollout, we will also be moving to a new web domain: www.capnw.org This shortened URL will not only make it easier to relay our email and web presence to clients, patients, community members, and community partners, but also more significantly reflects the impact of our expansion into Southwest Washington as CAP continues to grow. We are so excited about these changes and hope you will take the time to check us out at our new home on the web!
