CAP Announces New Board Members & Officers

Portland, OR | August 3, 2016 - CAP announces the appointment of new members of its Board of Directors, as well as the full slate of officers and board members for FY2017. Joining the Board over the past fiscal year are Brian Buck and Jim Armstrong. “Our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise, and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we work to support and empower people living with or affected by HIV in our community and expand our services to the greater LBGTQ population with a new primary care health center”, said Tyler TerMeer, Executive Director.

Armstrong is the Senior Vice President of HR & Technology at OnPoint. Jim attended the University of Oregon, earning a B.S in Psychology and a M.S. in Applied Psychology (Organizational Behavior). He has focused his volunteer energy on educational efforts directed at helping people who have little or no access to traditional services. Most recently, he served as the Board Chair at De La Salle North Catholic High School in Portland.

Buck is the Corporate Sales Manager for the Portland Trail Blazers, where he meets with business owners, group leaders and individuals to focus on how the Trail Blazers can help them reach their goals and create a memorable experience. Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

  • Robert Lusk, MD, Immediate Past President, Providence Health & Services

Leaving the board are Jason Jurjevich and Lamar Bryant.  We thank them for their dedication and service to our community.
